Denver's SpyderLynk lands barcode tech patent | The Balance ...

Denver-based SpyderLynk said today that it has received a patent for its 2D mobile barcode technology. The is proprietary QR (quick response) code, which can be scanned with a camera phone to unleash digital content.

Just a few years after launching, SpyderLynk has quickly caught on with companies such as Coke, Revlon and MillerCoors. SpyderLynk recently launched its Snap to Buy technology, giving consumers the ability to buy products on the spot with one snap or scan from their mobile phone. Glamour Magazine it incorporated the technology in its March issue.

SpyderLynk chief executive Nicole Skogg believes the company’s technology will help companies guard against growing QR code scams as more consumers scan the images for content, coupons and purchases.
